Veneers

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain which are bonded to the surface of teeth to change their shape, color, and position. Some indications for veneers include, but are not limited to misaligned teeth, large spaces between teeth, and discolored natural teeth with or without restorations. Veneers will dramatically improve the esthetics and cosmetics of a patient's smile with minimal preparation of teeth. Click here to look at our own patient results from veneers!

TEETH WHITENING

Over time, many people may experience teeth staining, which can be due to a variety of factors. Soda, coffee, tea, smoking, and at times genetics are typically the most common factors. New technology now allows dentists to whiten teeth without changing or damaging the tooth structure.  The method we offer is custom tray whitening.

TREATMENT

Dr. Berman will take impressions or molds of the patient’s upper and lower teeth. Custom trays, which will use a whitening gel, are then created for the top and bottom teeth using these molds.  Dr. Berman will provide instructions on how to properly use the trays and gel.  These instructions will inform the patient how much gel is required and when to wear the trays.  He will also specify the length of time the trays are to be worn, which can range from one hour a day to possibly overnight for a period of approximately two weeks.  After being given the instructions and answering any questions, the custom trays and whitening gel then go home with the patient to be used as directed. Dr. Berman also offers Opalescence Whitening trays, that provides convenient and simple at home whitening.

RESULTS

The patient can expect their teeth to be noticeably whiter and brighter. They will be able to compare their new whiter smile with before photos, which were taken prior to whitening. Studies have shown this method of professional whitening to be the most effective.

OVER THE COUNTER V.S CUSTOM TRAYS

You may ask yourself, why not just use the whiteners sold in stores? Over the counter whitening can be successful to a certain degree, but the whitening material is not as concentrated and the distribution of whitening material may be applied unevenly leading to a less than ideal outcome. The custom tray whitening system that we provide allows an even distribution and stronger concentration of whitening material, as well as superior long term results. Whitening trays provide a more effective way to achieve a brighter, whiter smile, in a non-invasive way for special occasions such as weddings and proms, or for one’s daily life.
